Brendon and Gil left their busy city of New York to celebrate their Bora Bora gay wedding to stand on a secluded beach at the Four Seasons Bora Bora, with the entire lagoon as their private stage. Bora Bora has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that feels like an open embrace, making it one of the most LGBTQ-friendly destinations in the Pacific. There’s no better place to celebrate love openly, just as it is.
As their bora bora photographer, I’m both moved and honored to capture this intimate moment. The grooms stand before a simple yet stunning arch, woven with vibrant tropical flowers and soft white fabric. It was just about them, their vows, and the sound of gentle waves lapping at the shore. They’re bathed in that magical, late afternoon light that feels almost surreal, with Mount Otemanu in the background, radiating its timeless strength and beauty.
The wedding ceremony feels like a dream. We wrapped up the shoot just as the sun begins to melt into the horizon, painting the sky in pastel hues of pink, lavender, and gold. The lagoon reflects these colors, creating a perfect mirror around them. As they hold hands, they’re silhouetted against the sky, looking out over the endless ocean, their world expanding as they step into this new chapter together.
Bora Bora gave them the gift of this unforgettable moment, just the two of them in their own paradise, in a place that truly feels like it was made for love.
A beautiful moment in the nature of Bora Bora
The next day was all about adventure. As their bora bora photographer and videographer , we arrived early to meet the newlyweds, feeling just as excited as they were to explore more of Bora Bora’s untouched beauty. They were beaming, clearly ready for whatever the day had in store. With Sam, videographer and drone operator set up, we headed out beyond the resort, leaving behind the manicured sands and diving into the island’s wild, natural landscapes.
Our first stop was a lush, secluded motu. Brendon and Gill moved easily through the scene, laughing and joking, radiating that relaxed, post-wedding glow. The drone rose up, soaring high to reveal just how small and intimate this paradise was, framed by the endless blue ocean on one side and the powerful mountains on the other.
As the day turned to late morning, we made one stop—a hidden lagoon tucked away from everything, with shallow turquoise water and pristine white sands. They waded in, hand in hand, the water glistening around them. Sam sent the drone soaring, capturing that perfect bird’s-eye view of the two of them in this surreal setting, hearts open and at peace.
